Black Lives Matter

We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and everyone protesting and demanding change. Recent events have been harrowing, and we all have a duty to speak up, to call out injustice, and to help the cause of ending systemic racism however we can.

Instead of one of our usual posts, on Friday we shared just a few things on Twitter which we are also sharing here: places to donate to, actions to take, things you can read, and inspiring comics and illustration. We’ll continue to share these things as we find them too.

  1. OFFICIAL Gianna Floyd Fund (George Floyd's child)

  2. Donation Link for Bail Funds

  3. Donate to Black Lives Matter by watching ads, if you haven’t got the spare cash

  4. Write to your MP and ask them to support Emily Thornberry’s call to stop the sale of rubber bullets and tear gas to the US

  5. Read up on police reform with this free ebook

  6. Check out 4FRONT for resources to explain why we need to see change

  7. Support the UKBLM movement

  8. Check out this tweet for info on Black-led, community-based LGBTQ+ organizations

  9. If you can't get out to protest, here are some things you can do

  10. Here is some information on Non-Optical Allyship

  11. If you are looking for an artist for any kind of project you find Black artists using the Cartoonists of Color Database and searching the #drawingwhileblack hashtag on Twitter and Instagram

Most of all, if you are White: Read and listen to Black people and People of Colour confront racism when you see it, confront it in yourself and don't just show up now but continue to fight for justice.
